| Title | Empowered Voices, How we improved our lives: A collection of the Most Significant Change stories – brought about by the WASH program in the Western Province of Zam bia | Author | Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES) | Subject | Community Development | Date of Publication | 2016 | Publisher | Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES) | Number of Pages | 92 pages | Language | English | Geographical Coverage | Zambia, Africa | Keywords | Poverty Alleviation, Health and Sanitation, Gender Based Violence, WASH, Women and Development, Water | Abstract | The stories that resulted from the different stakeholders who took part in this process are truly amazing. Unfortunately, due to the large number of stories that were collected, it was not possible to include them all in this publication. However in choosing the selected few, we hope you will grasp a little of the amazing stories of change that occurred in the many communities where the program was conducted. For every story shared here, there are ten more that could have been told. 8 When viewed cumulatively, these stories provide a rich insight into the successes and unintended consequences of the AACES program in Zambia. For many of the storytellers, their journey has just begun; they don’t claim to have arrived, but they say change has come and will continue to be realised in these communities as they continue to actively engage in their own development and collectively bring change to their communities. | Copyright Holder | Australia Africa Community Engagement Scheme (AACES) | Copyright URL | www.dfat.gov.au, www.oxfam.org.au | ISBN/ISSN | 9780620704069 | Filesize | 1575786 MB | File Format | PDF | [ View / download original document ] |
