This study examines the effectiveness of health warnings on cigarette packaging in Nigeria and their potential to reduce tobacco consumption. The findings suggest that transitioning from text-only health warnings to graphic and text warnings can lead to a significant decrease in tobacco-related deaths and diseases, and substantial savings in health costs.
