His bottom line is that there is a great deal of room for improvement. A major concern of Africa is its underrepresentation in the G20 and related organisations such as the Financial Stability Board, with South Africa being the only African member in both bodies. Another concern identified by Nnadozie is that neither African, nor development issues more generally, are seen by the G20 as part and parcel of dealing with global economic issues – and they should be. Moreover, he believes the G20 has not been able to make, and most importantly implement, bold commitments on development. There is clear scepticism from Nnadozie as to whether the G20 will deliver on any of its development commitments.
