RésuméLand reform programmes have been getting increasing attention on the global development agenda. In 2000, Zimbabwe embarked on a Fast Track Land Reform Programme (FTLRP) that saw the massive transfer of land from white commercial farmers to black Zimbabweans. In the process, women accessed land and were able to set a new development pathway in which they became independent land beneficiaries. The case study is mainly based on a desk review of published research done on resettled farms in South Eastern Zimbabwe. Other complimentary studies in resettled farms in and around Zimbabwe are also used to beef up the case. The aim of the research in the resettled farms was to find out how the women accessed land during the programme, the type of agricultural systems they were involved in, and the marketing strategies they used in selling their produce afterwards.
