In today’s knowledge economy, the possession and access of strategic information enables institutions to gain competitive advantage. The prevailing major challenge of ‘information overload’ has led many people to do their work using sources of information that may not always be credible, thereby compromising the quality and standards of their output. It is against this background that the objective of this seminar is to raise awareness and encourage staff to effectively access, navigate and search smarter, not harder the many authoritative and peer reviewed library’s electronic resources on capacity development that include e-books, e-journals, databases, portals and gateways available on the ACBF’s virtual Library.
